1-Year Post-Treatment

Written April 9, 2023

What a whirlwind the last two months of been – my goodness!

If you haven’t heard – my one year post-treatment scans were negative – I’m cancer free 🥹 I thought this wouldn’t change much for me, because I’ll have to go again next year, but it really did. I feel like I’m walking on air finally waking up from a nightmare. Thank you all for the support – I am so thrilled to say WE DID IT!

Recent updates: celebrated Stephanie’s bachelorette in Scottsdale, popped over to Balancing Paws Dog Training to record their first podcast episode, ran to Mayo to get my scan, hiked Camelback Mountain for the first time, reached the top and received my results but couldn’t open them, raced to the bottom and turned into a puddle of tears upon reading they were negative (had the whole bachelorette party supporting me ❣️), ate dinner at the same restaurant we did the night before my surgery and recreated my “screw you, Cancer” mirror pic, flew home just in time to hop the next flight to North Carolina to watch Jacqui marry the love of her life 🥹, enjoyed time with my best girlfriends and an extra week of vacation there with Nicholas before catching the next flight to Detroit to go to Stephanie’s shower and see almost all of my siblings for Easter! Back home now and ready to take a break from travel and enjoy the cancer-free life with Nicholas and Archie 😊
