A year ago, I announced our move to Phoenix, Arizona…and what a dream that has been.
Nick has been working as a general surgery intern, while I had the privilege of serving two local high schools as an athletic trainer with Banner Health. I don’t quite have the words yet to explain how their flexibility has allowed me to fight (& beat??) cancer, but I am eternally grateful for this job. Additionally, moving here placed us 25 minutes from – some say – the #1 cancer center in the world. A miracle in my eyes.
Now, we are over the moon to announce Nick has matched into a 5 year orthopedic surgery residency position at St. Louis University hospital – achieving his career goal. We are moving a 2 day drive closer to home
and we are putting down roots somewhere for longer than we have since our childhood homes!
Mio & Ann Arbor to Alma for 4 years, Mt. Pleasant for 2, Chapel Hill for 2, Saginaw for 2, Vail for 1, floating around Michigan for Nick’s clinical rotations, Phoenix for 1, and finally a place to call home in the Midwest for 5 where Archie won’t burn his paws on the sidewalk ![]()
So, if you have restaurant, neighborhood, or activity suggestions for St. Louis, Missouri, we are all ears & will be there as of mid June (just in time for our 1 year wedding anniversary) ![]()
Finally, thank you Annie Brandt Design Co. for HAND DRAWING our little moving announcement. We’re on the Huron River in this photo which I imagine will seem quite small once we’re on the Mississippi!
Congratulations to my tenacious husband, cheers to a new adventure, & thanks to all of you for following along ![]()
